Melanie Martinez is an American singer and songwriter of the pop/alternative genre. She first appeared on the third season of The Voice where she sang Toxic by Britney Spears for her blind audition and turned three chairs: Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and CeeLo Green. She chose Levine and made it until the fifth week of the live rounds. After The Voice, in February 2014, Martinez released a hit single Dollhouse along with a music video and soon after released the Dollhouse EP in May. In 2009, CL began making a push as a solo artist releasing singles such as “The Baddest Female”. She was the girl who didn’t go to prom or graduation because she was too busy making music and working with producers. After years of dedication, it paid off in a huge way in 2013 after she wrote “The Monster” and it became a worldwide hit for Eminem and Rihanna. JoJo began her career in 2003 when she was just 13 years old. She had her hit single “Leave (Get Out)” that every teenager was singing along to while being angry at the world. Ever since then, she had 2 albums released under her old record label. She was supposed to release more, but the label kept her in “music limbo” because they never came to an agreement to release her albums. In 2014, she was officially released from her label after years of long legal battles. She signed to Atlantic Records, and released three singles in August 2015. She’s on her way to release a new album. She has a powerful voice, and an amazing vocal range. A beautiful 28-year-old from Sweden, Snoh Aalegra has a hypnotic voice. In an interview with Teen Vogue, Aalegra said that people have compared her to Adele and Amy Winehouse if they were at a club. She has been inspired by Lauryn Hill, Curtis Mayfield, and many more although having been trained in classical vocals. She writes music in between shifts at work.
